Canada’s Paula Findlay claimed a commanding win at the return of IRONMAN (IM) 70.3 Boise on Saturday, 26 July, leading the women’s race from start to finish.

With a race time of 04:01:50, Findlay exited the 1.9km swim in 29:15, powered through the 90km bike leg in 2:07:35, and sealed her victory with a strong 1:21:03 half-marathon run.

IM70.3 Boise was held for the first time since 2015, with more than 2,200 athletes tackling the 70.3-mile race course.

The race saw athletes swim in the Lucky Peak Reservoir, ride through the Boise foothills and neighbourhoods, and run along the flat, fast Boise River Greenbelt Trail.

Lined with spectators and shaded by trees, the 2-loop run course was made for speed – and Findlay delivered!
